Thanh Son Temple in July 2012 |
Sunday, 20 March 2011 |
Heartroom will follow up Thanh Son temple, last visited in July 2010. The temple has 107 kids and 17 elderly. By the same time this year we hope to see that the children are still healthy and energetic. We will this time divide our donations to the temple as 50% in cash and 50% food, toys, and school materials.
We hope that you will continue to support our work and the happiness of these children. We welcome your every contribution! |

In the last week of July Heartroom has carried out its latest charity work to the children in Daklak. Their families live by farming in the mountain areas and hence have no other income then selling the few crops they can grow. These children are therefore sent away from home to live and learn with the nuns.

Dear friends It has been some time since our last update and I have good news!
Heartroom has recently decided to make a donation to Vietnam this summer as two of our members (Vinh Phung and Awale Warsame) are going there. The donations that you made earlier went to the orphanage run by 3 nuns in the Dak Lak area. The orphanage used all of the donations to buy food and medical supplies. This time Heartroom will continue to support the orphanage in Dak Lak, and in addition we will also include children at a temple in Nha Trang. What is special about this temple is that the munks are taking in the children that has been abandoned by their families, either caused by poverty, death or other reasons. The munks are raising and teaching these children as best they can on their own. Certainly we don't need to care or help them in their efforts - but those of you who think they should have a little support, please join us by donating through our page Support Us. 1 USD is enough for a child to survive for a day - so even 50 cent would make a difference! We will be giving the donations by 31st July, so please make a move, even if a small one. The HRI group and the homepage will be updated with pictures and blogs. Come on, let's do this ! HRI
